Women were suppressed for centuries relegated to babymaking and household, not allowed education, not allowed to own land, not allowed to vote, continually reminded of their subservience by religious doctrine. Now we have a supposed "modern" world and still, the males are manipulated into destructive behaviors as if it were their mandate to ruin the land, the air, the waters, kill the birds, bees and animals without regard. And worst of all, this relentless need to control other humans, children and girls ---all helpless in the wake of systems set forth by men over a millenia. Good grief, give us all a rest.

I think the answer involves questioning the stories and uncovering the truth about the myriad tactics being used against us, why, and by whom. People resist new information that contradicts what they have programmed into their subconscious mind. It’s the old adage, “Be very careful what you put into your mind because it’s very, very difficult to get it out.”
We are trained to fawn over and obey authority figures that appear to care about us. Unfortunately, many of those authority figures have their own best interests in mind and have ulterior motives.
We are admonished for taking personal responsibility for our own health (ask your doctor), told to improve our credit scores so we can put ourselves in debt (high credit score is good because you can put yourself into even more debt!), participate in divisive political agendas (and win arguments because you get to be “right”), etc.
We ultimately and collectively have the power to change things, but overcoming entrenched beLIEfs is done pretty much one by one. When enough people find out about the deceit and get angry, people begin to pay attention and react/respond to the new information. People are social animals and will hide in the pack until they discover that the threat is gone. Standing apart from the herd is usually dangerous. The more people uncover the truth, the more people will follow the new herd.
In humans, truth seeking to find where the danger lies is damaging to the liars, because once liars are discovered, people will turn against them. This is why they will do almost anything to prevent the truth from being exposed. The deceivers know that anger can be used against them and they become the hunted.
Investigative journalists understand this and put themselves in front of the herd to guide others into a new position of power against the oppression. I appreciate their efforts.

Thanks for saying this. I am from the ridiculous “Duck! And cover!” era and I have been hearing about the alleged nuclear weapons since then. I have seen the comparative photos from the fire bombed Tokyo with those of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and they are indistinguishable from one another. I recall the days of burying “spent fuel rods” from nuclear waste and the hoopla and fear promotion that subsequently disappeared from the media. I recall what Galen Winsor had to say about its value.
Nuclear bombs are another boogeyman, like viruses and threats of terrorists on commercial airliners, etc. The media plants ideas and spend their time repeating the scary stories until they need a newer and bigger scary story to get populations to accept more control from them, accompanied by loss of more rights.
Seems the most effective method for control is for authority figures to repeat scary stories and for the recipients to conjure up their own boogeymen stories to scare themselves. Religions have also perfected these techniques.
